I was looking on line for an answer to the same question, and didn't find it.but I figured out how to do it and thought I would share - better late than never. Close Outlook, To open, double click on the icon while holding down the shift button. Upon opening, the outbox appears at the bottom on the folders column. Click on it and you can see it's contents. I don't know how long it continues to appear there.
The ones that were just upgraded, did not see the update and emails got stuck in Outlook`s Outbox. So, this issue had nothing to do with SmarterMail, but with Windows 10. If anyone else is experiencing this, I hope this info will help. Inevitably, Microsoft Outlook has now become a platform, which is used by several industries. Its ability to work offline makes it famous and more demanding. Emails are stuck in the outlook for mac outbox. How can I fix this. No efficient solutions found on the web. Then go to the outbox and you should be able to delete the emails. Then close Outlook, reconnect the power to the internet modem so you have internet again. I have outlook on mac and my emails are stuck in outbox.

I clicked on it quickly, deleted the stuck items and once those were gone and the other items sent, the Outbox disappeared again. Hope that helps you or someone else looking for this answer.
Have a good one! Although I don't use Outlook there is no point in an Out Box unless you are writing several different emails to different recipients and want to send them all at one time. In that case they are usually saved in the Draft folders for each account, that is if there is a Draft folder for each of the accounts and you have more then one account. I know that in the old Outlook express there was an Out box But that was for emails that Could Not Be sent at the time you hit the Send Button, like you weren't connected to the internet at that time.
But in newer email programs, and for the fact that most everyone is always connected, that out box is MOOT. Maybe you are confusing the Sent Items folder with the Outbox?
I use Thunderbird on both Mac and PC and there is No Outbox in that email program either and I don't see any need to add one. Good Luck & Best Wishes. Thanks but no, i am not confusing my folders. My 'send' information on my email setup was not correct and i did not realize a problem until i tried to send an email and i received the error message on the sending process. I needed to just copy the text from the email so i could do something will it and could not get to the email to open it because it was not in the draft folder and there was no outbox folder. The most recent outlook for PC has an outbox, the help menu on the Outlook for MAC describes that the message will be in the outbox until it is sent.
So it doesn't make sense that there isn't a way to get it to show. Thanks anyway. Have a good one! I found this trick today on the net - and it works! Quickest fix ever. I don't know if I'm allowed to post the link to the site - but below is what you do: I had an email that I sent, and it was taking ages, so I wanted to delete it and resize an attachment. Of course I couldn't as there is no Outbox. So this is how you get one - Disconnect the ethernet cable, send yourself an email while offline, and 'hey presto' the Outbox appears!!
Now its in my Mailboxes list. Not often you need it but good to have it there.
Good idea, Beowulf1, and that helped me to force an Outbox, thanks. But you can keep your Ethernet cable plugged in and simply switch Outlook to Offline mode in the Tools tab while you send yourself the trigger email. Does anybody else have messages that don't appear in the elusive Outlook 2011 Outbox, but are stuck in a loop uploading from the Outlook Sent folder to iCloud, in order to update the Sent folder on iCloud and other devices?
I had that problem for months, eight emails always uploading. I thought they were still in the Outbox but they weren't, and clicking the cross on the progress bar never worked. I fixed it yesterday.
This is what I did, in case this helps anyone else: 1. Compare the Outlook Sent folder to the iCloud Sent folder online to see which messages have not uploaded to iCloud. Select the offending /extra messages in the Outlook Sent MobileMe/iCloud folder. If you wish, apply an Outlook Category and colour to them so they are easy to find.
You can create a custom category and colour in Categorize Add New. Then you can quickly view them and work with them as a group by choosing the category in Filters. Copy the messages from the Outlook Sent MobileMe or iCloud folder to the Outlook Sent On My Computer folder to retain a local copy if you want. Delete the messages from Outlook Sent MobileMe or iCloud folder. The loop should stop. There was probably a fault with the messages (e.g.
Invalid header or too big). These messages won't appear on Sent mail in iCloud and other devices, but you can forward them to yourself if you need the content on other devices, though they will be new mail in your Inbox rather than in their correct order in Sent, but if it is only a few messages or if it is really bugging you, it might be worth it. If you want to put them back into iCloud Sent, I was able to do so, with some oddities of order, by this method: 1. Create and name a new folder in the left pane /mailbox folder area of Outlook 2011 on Mac, if that has the mail that needs to be restored to iCloud. Copy the required mail into the new folder.
Drag the folder to the Mac desktop, and it will automatically create a.mbox exported file of just that mail. Close or put aside Outlook. Open Mail on the Mac and choose File Import Mailboxes Files in mbox format, navigate to choose the file on the desktop and choose Continue to import the messages into Mail. Mail will create a new Import folder containing the folder from Outlook. Open the imported folder to view imported messages. Select an imported message and choose Message Move to or Copy to from the top menu bar and select a destination from the drop down menu, such as Sent.
Click on the iCloud destination option that pops up beyond Sent. Mail will show a progress bar for uploading the message to iCloud, and after a minute, depending on file size, it should appear in the corresponding box on iCloud (Sent, in this case), and will then auto load back to the Mail and Outlook boxes (Sent, in this case). Dates should appear correctly on the messages, but their order may be a bit odd.
Select subsequent imported messages for the same destination and choose Message Move or Copy Again to iCloud. Not too many at a time, or the upload might get stuck in a loop. Reason 1 – Recent Password Change Did you recently change your login password? Perhaps Outlook still is working off the old password. Try closing and restarting Outlook. If that doesn’t work, try restarting your computer to reset everything.
